TROPHY FOR THE BEST OVERALL DOG OF THE CARNIVAL

 

The best overall Dog of the Carnival is to be awarded to the dog with the highest total score in the 3 disciplines (Breed, Obedience, Agility/Jumpers/Gamblers) over the three days of competition

The purpose of the competition is to acknowledge and reward dogs that display both good conformation and working ability.

ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible a dog must compete in each of the 3 disciplines at least once over the three days of competition.

Daily scores will be combined and the 3 day’s scores added together to determine the final score.  The trophy will be awarded to the dog with the highest total score.

SCORING

Obedience: Highest qualifying score attained each day (if qualifying in more than one class, the highest score is counted). 

Agility/jumpers/gamblers:  170 points are awarded for an agility/jumpers qualification, plus 1 point for every second the dog runs under the standard course time to a maximum of 200 points.  130 points are awarded for a gamblers qualification plus 1 point for every point accumulated during the class.  If qualifying in more than one class or event, the highest score is counted.

 Please Note: The Strategic Pairs event is not counted as part of this competition as points are not earned individually by one dog.  

Breed:   
Entire dogs/bitches: 10 points plus 10 points for every dog your dog beats on the day, to a maximum of 200 points (including Challenge, Best of Breed, Best Opposite of Breed, Class in Group, Best in Group, Class in Show and Best In Show).

Neuter dogs/bitches: 25 points plus 25 points for every dog your dog beats on the day, to a maximum of 200 points (including Best Neuter of Breed, Best Neuter In Group and Best Neuter In Show awards).
