DOGS NSW
The competition will run from 1st January to the 31st December, each year and will result in a number of awards each year. Every exhibitor who enters must be a member of one Club within the Region. No Leased Dogs will be allowed (organisers may ask for copy of registration). Each entry must be e-mailed to the organisers of the competition by the Club Secretary ( as the Club secretary is able to verify the membership of the exhibitor with the Club), an entry fee of $10 per exhibit will be required, sent by the Club in bulk or individually to the organisers. The awards will be awarded as follows:
First award will be "The Club Award": A Club can enter as many members exhibits as it wishes, but at the end of the year it will be the best 10 scores of the best 10 exhibits from each Club, that gives the Clubs final Score. The prize Money we hope (for this year) to be $500 to the winning club (this amount will depend on the interest that is generated in the competition).
Second award will be: "Best Regional Exhibit" Calculated on the Best 10 scores of any exhibit entered in the competition. $200 & products
Third award will be : "Best Regional Puppy" Calculated on the Best 10 scores (whilst the exhibit is under 12 months) of any exhibit entered in the competition that is under 12 months at the 1st of January each year. In other word only scores obtained while the exhibit is under 12 months. $100 & Products
Final award will be "Best Regional Group Performer" designed to obtain the best performing Exhibit of each group using the best 10 scores. (Not the Best number of Best in Groups) Products
SCORING CRITERIA:
1. Only Kennel Club Shows will be included in this competition. Rational: It will be hard enough for the organisers to obtain results with Kennel Club shows that alone Ag Shows. (This decision maybe revised at a later date)
2. Point allocation:
If Runner/up in group or show is out of same class, then 10 points will be awarded.
FURTHER INFORMATION:
Each exhibit only enters the competition once for one entry of $10, making the exhibit eligible for all awards, (except those not under 12 months, for the Best Regional Puppy award).
All exhibits must be owned (not Leased) by a member living within the boundaries of the Northern Region and furthermore the owner must be a current financial member of a local northern Region Club (affiliated with Dogs NSW).
Any entry must be lodged through the Club Secretary of the Club you are representing no later than the 1st of February each year.
Exhibitors may enter as many exhibits as they wish.
Prizes and Products will be reassessed each year depending on the interest generated in this Competition.
It will be necessary for a club representative to forward the results of there clubs achievements after each show.
CLUB SECRETARIES WILL BE ASKED TO FORWARD A MARKED CATALOGUE (IN THEIR OWN TIME) TO THE ORGANISERS, FOR VERIFICATION OF RESULTS.
The point score progress is hoped to be maintained on this site so everyone can see how the competition is unfolding.
It is also hoped that this will generate a lot of team spirit at the shows with plenty of cheering on of your clubs Exhibits.
The Secretary of each club need only send a list of their exhibits with Name, owner & Date of Birth. If a person is sending in an individual entry then the club secretary must sign the details and the exhibitor needs to include the Club they are representing.
